What really gets me is... analysts have been screaming for weeks to buy buy buy, they are saying this is a great buying opportunity. I don't trust them. It's a fact that funds have been selling stocks and going to cash. Strong buy means sell because the analysts and fund managers want the stock to go up so they can dump, and a sell recommendation means buy because they want the price to go lower so they can buy. Yes there are many parallels between the 1929 stock market crash-the great depression and today. Back then it began with bank failures in Germany, but it ended up being global, worldwide. And another thing that really bothers me is that we are in much more of a global economy today than we were back then. Right before the great depression and the 1929 stock market crash, investment scams were rampant and everyone was in debt and margined to the hilt. Almost everyday for the last month I have been receiving numerous phone calls about investments, I don't know where these people came from or how I got on their phone lists, but it's out of control. They are desperate and trying to sell everything from oil to internet investments, all of which is unregulated by the SEC, they don't have listed stocks or anything, they're not even BB stock companies, they just want your money, I laugh and tell them to please take me off of their phone lists. Also right before the great depression and the 1929 stock market crash there was the roaring 20's, exuberance extravaganza at a minimum, it was a time when there were many great new inventions and the market was becoming saturated with them, refrigerator, automobile, air conditioning, electricity, phone, television 1928, talking movies, radio, etc.. There were cheap loans and everyone spent spent spent. Almost everyday now I receive in the mail, propaganda for low interest credit cards. I already have 3 Visa's and 1 Mastercard; and 2 brand new car loans at 3.9% interest. Are you scared yet? Don't be, just proceed with caution.
