Cynical?? I always have the deepest aesthetic appreciation of a masterful con. I mean, hey, it's a living, right? At least here, they have to persuade you. In some places in South America, they bring all this stuff to your table, all these little dishes with appetizers on them. If you as much as touch one thing, you pay for all of it, and it's not inconsequential. If you don't touch anything, I guess they take it all away and give it to the next people. Wonder if she got them to buy the desserts too.
