Friday September 11, 1:58 pm Eastern Time Norwest , Wells set shareholder vote date NEW YORK, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Norwest Corp. said in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday that its shareholders and Wells Fargo and Co. (NYSE:WFC - news) shareholders would vote on the companies' proposed merger on October 20. Norwest and Wells Fargo announced a merger plan in June that would create the nation's seventh largest bank in terms of assets, if other pending mergers in the industry are completed.
