Paul: From my point of view you've NAILED it!! IF all is truly on the up & up, and according to the underground there's lots to be excited about, then the margin related gambit you've articulated makes imminent sense. And it's also one I've seen more than once in times past. So although I feel bad for those who may have gotten those little gray margin envelopes in the mail, I'll have to say I took advantage of the price and expanded my holdings(just couldn't resist, particularly when I saw those large block buys going on at periodic intervals). I also bit down on certain juicy options, too. Am I being greedy and stupid? Well, as a speculator I like to gamble from time to time, and VLNC I see in a manner similar to when I gambled on Dell waaaay back in '91(still got those shares, too, HEH!). I'll admit, I could lose, but that's why they call it SPECULATING. And with such as the Belfast ad's telegraphing the obvious, well......it ain't such a fools gamble, now is it?? The key is to not paint yerself into a margin corner prematurely, ride out the dips and aim for glory. (Okay, okay, I wax hyperbolic, probably because I saw some whales today and that always pumps me up, but the potential is clear, eh?).

Don'tcha just luuuuuv speculating? ;-)

John~

No, you, not we, were talking about margin. The point remains that VLNC previously has fallen to well below the levels your margin conspiracy theory suggests as a lower limit and it could do it again. I'm not convinced that the current price is wholly attributable to margin pressure let alone stock manipulation. And for the record, I stated a fact about margin requirements at some brokerages, nothing more.

You, as usual, either miss or ignore salient points.

Criticizing your investments? Other than VLNC you havent identified your investments. What I do know about your investments derives from your emotionalism and your VLNC position, both of which indicate you have lost money. You did mention CKFR and TBR and in doing so, telegraphed your lack of understanding of issues and fundamentals.

Your reference to "man enough" is pathetic. If you ever have anything you want to try to back up, you just let me know.
