do not believe they will let this violation of separation of church and state to happen.

You also appear to have that innocent belief that the words "separation of church and state" appear somewhere in the US Constitution. They don't. They do however appear exactly like that in the old Soviet Constitution. Interesting parallel between US liberals and old Soviet government doings.

It was in a private letter from Thomas Jefferson to a Baptist Church minister in Maryland that the words "Wall of Separation" were used in reference to Church vs. State, and the relationship between the two. When Jefferson was using those words, however, he was assuring the minister that the United States would never designate a particular Christian denomination as the official religion of the US -- like England had the Church of England.

Nevertheless, the US Supreme Court, in it's infinite tinkering, has taken Jefferson's letter out of context, and used it as an authority/excuse to add meaning to the US Constitution that simply isn't there. The first amendment gives reference to "freedom of religion", NOT "freedom from religion.

And the people who dislike religion are only too happy to go along with the charade. Oh well. A country can only be as great as its people. As Clinton is finding out, dishonesty usually comes back to bite you eventually.
