devaluation in Malaysia, Pakistan, Mexico, etc. are old stories. What is the effect of the recent Russian market collapse? Clinton's speech about Monica seems to have more effect. China had not devalued yet. A new trend is emerging. Previously the US market used to hit the skids whenever there was a small drop in the Asian market. Now the market has got used to it. Canadian devaluation? But look, the market is shrinking and shares are disappearing in merger after merger. Amoco-BP merger takes out $50 billion out of the market, Chrysler, Sun America, Travelers group, World com, Sprint, Bell Atlantic, etc. Ram
