I'm forming the "Save Cavalry Committee". I suggest that all FBN Associates go to the WHAMM thread and fill out the questionnaire.

Good idea! But, sad to say, I bit late. I've already been over there using each of my half dozen names and Janice I think has visited using all twelve of hers. Now if we can just get Norma to go over there; I hear she has about two dozen names she uses.

So, since it doesn't look like he'll get 100 names, we need to move to plan B: change the rules. I've already asked MrB to use FBN-PostChanger 2000 to go back to Cavalry's original message and change the number of necessary respondents to 50.

Supreme court says Canada cannot unilaterally secede from Quebec. Atta go, Antonio you old Irishman. (Antonio Lamer is the head of the CSC.) Much is made of Antonio's fights on the way to school in Montreal and his boxing days where used to beat up on French Canadians. So he is supposed to be taking it out on them all over again. You cannot blame the French Canadian. Last thing God said the Quebecer when he talked to them at creation? "Act arrogant until I get back." I don't know what they expected the court to say. This country was not formed like the USA. "Oh I see this clause in the Statute of Westminster.. it appears that of the French get pissed off enough and they just aren't getting their way, they can take what ever territory they can grab by then and just set up their own little bailiwick, do you see it? clause 3C. Funny how you don't read the fine print in these things sometimes..."

Of course the English took Quebec by force. That was not a bilateral negotiation. But if they hadn't we would be speaking Spanish,as the Fr abandoned it as Voltaire thought there was too much snow. (he was right) so small mercies remain. I would be no good at Flamenco.

Off Topic, I'm sure

Please feel free to take the following and call me stupid, if you must.

CAV came onto a new thread in a stock where we are invested. To the best of our knowledge we are the the only SI members invested in the stock. He slammed the lead post (not ours) and I felt a need to respond. After several posts I felt his response to be reasonable and that he was a reasonably honorable man. It didn't matter much, we were invested and had already formed our opinion. What I did respect was that he would look at another point of view and back off his previous post.

I had heard about the wamm thread prior to this encounter. Looked for some names that we knew, read a few posts and left. It was not until this encounter that I/we considered a wamm #. We felt his responses were reasonable. He IMHO had no way of knowing that we had visited the wamm thread. If he did, why not post on one of the popular threads we frequent?

I/we have applied for a wamm #. To us, none of the questions were offensive. Had to clarify the two names as Debra and I both post, but we use the same "SI name". We don't know or follow CAV so we are open to opinions in this matter.

Always learning,

Jeff(&Debra)
