It is a check box..ie put a check mark in the save password box. You can create a new dial up connection in my computer/dial-up networking/make new connection. First click on your existing connection/file/properties to note the settings. You will need to use the same server type TCP/IP settings etc. Somewhere in the process you should see a save password check box.

Instead of using the browser to initiate the log on process you can now choose your connection option on the dial-up network window. First connect then open your browser. I use this method to chose between two different ISP accounts.

I do not know why my installation of IE 4.0 saves SI log on info. I still use Netscape 4.0x most of the time (which does not save my SI log on info). I disconnect from the ISP using the modem option and I leave a browser window open. This way I do not have to relog on to SI every time I reconnect to the Internet.
