Good point! Why would it be bad?
I would take any company at this point.

It would be a definite conflict of interest. Who's interest would he represent in negotiating the deal? RMIL shareholders or the company that is merging with RMIL?

anyone, getting RMIL trading or not does not create wealth for investors, if investors are asked to pony up some money, they should be told what the money is for. Not having seen any "business purpose" for these funds, I cannot say if it is good or not for the investors. What is the plan to provide a return on their investment?
