The answer is yes. It is one of the great myths of SI that you can't. The brokers like the margin interest that a short creates and since OTC BB's are non-marginable, they don't make it easy for you. However, if you are a good customer, instruct them that you will be happy to put a little bit more commish on the trade for their efforts. Bear, Smith Barney, OPCO and Jack White. The stock was very hard to borrow, but has become a it more available since the convert got registered.
