My use of the term "rightwing attack dogs" in no way referred to law enforcement officers, but rather to the likes of the myriad Clinton-hating talking heads that appear on tv each night in their attempt to overthrow the elected President of the United States.

I see. Perhaps you should stop watching TV. I don't even own a TV. Never have.

I have heard replayed snippets of James Carville though, and I'm afraid I'd smash the TV set if actually watched him talk.

<< He has not committed any high crime or misdemeanor>>

I think that would depend on your definitions. Impeachable offenses do not have to be idictable crimes. In fact, most times impeachments have occurred, they have been for ethical issues. Granted those were primarily federal judges, but I would think we would hold the Presidency to at least as high a standard.

Since impeachment is 100% political (by design), the question is not whether Clinton has committed an impeachable offence, but if Congress wants to impeach him. Since the definition of an impeachable offense is strictly subjective (it is defined by the Congress at the time they draw up articles of impeachment), every President has committed some impeachable offense if enough members of Congress want him out.
