Scott,

If you go back in the news for TMO you will notice a shift in philosophy. They are rethinking the spin out idea, and are even considering rearranging the ownership of certain companies.
I get the feeling that all is not right with their past strategy. The last spin out did not attract the investors, and some have even been canceled.
TMO gets a certain % of its monies from these spin outs, so if they give this up......earnings must come down, unless they think of something else.
I like the company, but am holding off on any investment at this time. Wait and see how things go first, although at this price it does look attractive. Even if they just rely on REAL earnings, they would be growing at say 12-15%. So, what to do? For me, with the market the way it is and the move to reorganize, I am sitting tight for now.
Read TMO's past news and you will get what is out there for now. I believe more to come soon. Let me know your feelings on this after you have read all the info. Later, John
