I don't short--it's not part of my investment strategy.

However, TLAB is not without considerable risk S/I/L term, with or without acquisition of CIEN.

From fundamental point of view, TLAB's long term outlook is quite uncertain; its best shot would be a takeover play in which it's the acquiree, not acquiror--TLAB doesn't have what it takes to compete with the gorillas.
