RE: Buying Opportunities Wren, I am loath to discuss my investment style, especially on a Bob Brinker thread because it is definitely not for everyone. I invest in individual high tech stocks that I know and am interested in. These stocks have high betas and not unlike a roller coaster, can give you a very queasy stomach! It works for me (most of the time), but I have to spend a lot of time managing my portfolio. I do this because it has been profitable and I really enjoy it. I find the market fascinating and I have learned truly invaluable lessons in the past couple of years. Bob speaks to a mass audience, and his advice works for everybody except those that just shouldn't be in the market at all.. His diversification strategies are sound and wise. Listen to Bob and not to me. I will say that I did move some of my money to a U.S. small cap fund last week. There are values in the small cap sector NOW, but be VERY aware of the risks here. Small caps tend to move in the latter stages of bull runs. Should we see signs of a bear market before the small caps make their run, this could be dead money, or worse, money lost. I am willing to take this risk now, since the values warrant the risk in my opinion and since the downside risks are minimal (my opinion only).
