Hi Bob,
You should know that of the many recent deep gas successes in the foothills(20-70 mmcf/d), all were directionally drilled down dip on a limb of the structure (either Mississippian or Devonian age reservoirs). Should the next well drilled by BKR and/or ESSO be directionally drilled (this is only an incremental increase in the cost of the well nowadays), it could be a "home run". With the drill logs and siesmic data in hand, I would expect the next well to have a high likelyhood for success. This is because a "down dip" leg exposes the well bore to a whole lot of fracture induced porosity and permeability. Has anyone heard any recent news on the neighbouring Shell well?
