To follow up...I have perused the Sunday paper...and the inserts from Best Buy, Circuit City, Office Depot, Comp USA, and Office Max. There are no PC's advertised below $999 (after assorted rebates). The lowest priced PC's have AMD K6's, and then the $1100-$1300 models have Celerons. IDTI is going to have to get their product into a national mass marketer and a high profile mail order house in order to succeed. Southeast Asia unfortunately is off the radar screen for now!
