you can't apply technical analysis during a worldwide major financial crisis. forget about support and resistances and 200-day moving averages... once the DOW crosses those lines to the downside (and we are very near), everyone will panic. call it a contrarian indicator if you wish, but: one more piece of bad news (China devaluation, more terrorist attacks in the US, etc) and we have 1929 all over again, or at least 1987. i really hope i'm wrong, because af all the pain that would bring, but i smell terror in the air.
