The link brings up the list of all CBS calls.

tradepbs.com

The Jan 2000 30 Calls are priced at 5 to 5 3/8, as Guy points out.
The Jan 2001 30 calls are 6 7/8 to 7 3/8

Patrice:

The LEAPS I've been buying are the LWXAF's (Jan '00 30 calls) which are around 5 1/2--3/4's as we speak with the stock up 3/8's. I don't know what the ZWXAF's are.

I didn't see how Stern did but he has that cult following. Kitman panned him for bad taste -- big surprise -- in today's Newsday. That's what Stern DOES!

I avoid shorter-term calls, in general, because you have to be right about the stock, the entry price, AND timing. With LEAPS, at least, you have more time flexibility for things to work out (of course, you are paying for it). Too often, in the past, I had the right stock and price but my timing was a little off and options would expire a couple of months before moves. With LEAPS, I give myself some breathing room and they work better for me. October may turn out to be a good month for CBS (I expect it to be) but I try not to cut options too close in case of negative surprises or market turmoil. IMO, it's tough enough picking the right stock without the added pressure of timing! One thing I'm guided by with CBS: over time, Karmazin will act in the best interests of shareholders!

Just unloaded SAI LEAPS and put a little more into CBS -- the rest into the bank for now!

Good luck!
