Yes, I have done that, but I have learned the hard way if you don't keep the stops, you will lose your capital. Even if the stock has bottomed, you don't know that for sure when you use your stop. It's much better to be safe than sorry!!!

If the stock is at its true bottom, and does rebound, you make your small loss up in a hurry and turn it into a profit.

One thing with daytrading I have learned, don't look back, forget your trades that you were stopped out on and concentrate on new ones. Most of the battle of daytrading is the one of your mind. Most good daytrading books reenforce this.
