Gary, The AMD 20% and other 15% is about right according to recent processor surveys(which I read on this thread over the last two weeks)
Yes Intel would have made $100 extra per CPU per quarter and it would have all dropped to the bottom line, do the math, that's what happens when a market leader cuts prices to force a smaller one out, they suffer more losses than the small one. In theory they force them ou and increase prices. Big oil perfected the method years ago until the antitrust people stepped in.
