The difference is in perspective. Short term traders and long term investors have different reference points. I am not suggesting that one way is better than other. I am just saying that reference point is different e.g. Buffet does not have a quote machine on his desk but a trader cannot survive without Level II quotes. I participate on SI, Yahoo and Motley Fool boards and also the cmgi club. All are excellent sources of information. CMGI club has long term focus only. I hope that explains.
