Bleeker, I'll go you one better. The 8/24 issue of Sports Illustrated has a very interesting article ("Reeling in Dough") on bass-fishing. I mean, we knew that pro wrestling was big (THQ has the profits to prove it) but I don't think we really understood the impact that B.A.S.S. Masters could have to our bottom line. Not only is there a burgeoning pro tour and multiple shows on major cable television channels, but the numbers of fishermen and the demographics are also very encouraging. We're talking 600,000 B.A.S.S. members (one in every 400 Americans) who spend an average of $200 a month on equipment, half of whom have college degrees, and thirty million other bass-fishermen. Not only that, but the current champ is appearing on a Wheaties box later this year. Think these anglers can spring for a $29.95 game that has full video fishing tips from their bass heroes? It's a $40 billion industry.

Considering the outrageous success of Deer Hunter and the fact that this game is supposed to make earlier fishing games look like Pong, it seems to me that our little anglin' game could hit the top ten on the pc side. And that should spur Wall Street interest and possible additional institutional coverage.

The game comes out Sept. 8.
