I think the US has to beef up security of the nations power supply network. I thought about this because I remember a few years ago a tree fell down in Oregon onto a power line which caused havok throughout the West and Midwest. That was only a tree falling down(did anyone hear it? Not sure!) not a bomb or something else that can do real severe damage. The ultilities/government has to create a system where one break in the network does not cause the entire network to break down.
