You are right, prediction is just an art, or tea leaves reading. TA is used to make it a little bit more accuracy, if not another excuse for credibility. Interpretation of TA is also very subjective, where the users' experience and depth of knowledge become important. It is difficult to make prediction. My previous posts were just my thoughts on the broader picture of the economy and the possible impact on the stock market. No prediction for minute to minute, nor day to day market movements. These posts with predictions should be taken like anything else, as they could be right or wrong. Some of these posts are meant for the more sophisticated investors, who know how to play both sides of the market.

I'm in the middle of reading Guerrilla Investing by Peter Siris and he says, more or less, that when everyone is talking about a bear market and imminent crashes, that's the time to buy. Why, because everyone is expecting it and there's a lot of cash around waiting to buy stocks.

And in reverse, when everyone see's a bull market and the sky's the limit, that's the time to sell. Why, because all the cash is in the market and there's no cash around to buy stocks.

Make sense?

p.s. Great book so far....
