Hi Bill - You might try it today while the market is closed. The servers won't be as busy and therefore shouldn't take as long. As far as going back further, IMO it helps if you want to study pattern of a particular stock. In fact doing this when the market is closed is the best time to "study". Let me know.

Here is one example of why it is useful. I received the following from a source that is IMO always very reliable.
"VOD has a habit of gapping open big, usually following a day that it is up sharply. However it is not much of a day trader as it trades in a somewhat narrow range during the day." One would be able to check this out further with the older intraday charts. BTW I wish this info on VOD had be pointed out to me last Monday instead of Thursday. Here is a 5 day on Yahoo
