You gotta be kidding... those are *US* numbers and they clearly highlight Qualcomm's Achilles heel. The company has 17% US market share which translates into less than 3% global market share. Siemens has almost 30% of the German market... that won't save it from becoming marginalized in the future, either. The division of the American market cuts both ways, BTW. GSM and TDMA are projected to have nearly 50% of the US market in 2002... a huge market from which Qualcomm is locked out. Surprisingly enough, I see only one winner in this situation.

***OTSBPOTOT*** GO*QCOM, that's develop, not develope, their share, not there share, Ericsson's, not Ericssons, doesn't, not dosen't, licences, not licenses [in the noun situation, not verb], than, not then the both of them - or simply than both of them, and you administer anaesthetics, not anethesia for a living. I bet you and the thread love this free advice on speling. Don't worry, that's all!

Mqurice [Thanks for the statistics on digital sales]

PS: Are you in favour of voluntary Youth In Asia? Euthenasia?

Actually, Motorola has CDMA phones out already.
Three of my co-workers have just bought four.
They have waited a long time for Motorola CDMA
phone. Sony, Samsung, and Qualcomm still don't
have the great reputations in cellular phone
as dose Motorola.
