Keep in mind that the time frame for a buy back can be very long. In some case, the company never actually buys it all back. Its authorized, that's all. They may use this only when needed - eg., to support the stock price.

Right now, debt reduction mught actually put more on the bottom line. remember, 500M shares or 400M shares, at no earnings, it is still 0 cents per share.

figure the interest on a billion bucks debt is about 100 million (round off), thats about 25 cents in earnings for the year - roughly speaking.

Patrice, your record of trading would, to me, appear to make you abit more of a wily trader than your questions would make you appear. No? :^)
