BTW, when the Dems were spending $100M digging for something on Reagan & Bush, I was just as outraged as you(if not more so). I'm a registered Republican. That's my point -- investigation has become a political tool that's used by both parties. I agree with you. As one poster said earlier this is becoming much like the Hatfield and McCoys....but only if Starr comes up with the Lewinsky matter being the only substance of his report. As I've said before, I don't think he should be impeached for having what many of us regard as inappropriate sex in the WH. Shamed, yes, resignation, maybe (much tougher leading the country with his moral authority so compromised), impeached, no. I would hope Starr's report reveals telling information on filegate, the travel office fiasco, intimidation of potential witnesses, abuse of power, etc. Now if Starr's report does show BC to have lied to the GJ and delivered political favors and jobs to those he wished to influence then we have another story. Impeachment may then be a more viable and politically acceptable option. Remember too, we are still awaiting Reno to appoint another IC, as I'm sure she will eventually, to investigate the campaign finance abuses. There's where I think the real deal will be found as to possible impeachment proceedings and for good reason too...compromising the very security of our nation. halfscot PS Remember that if BC had come clean when this all started we could have saved millions of those tax dollars as well as the humongous attorney fees he's racking up for his 'friends' as well as himself. Of course his attorney fees will be paid by his amoral supporters.
