Baseball cards have been subject to incredible dilution...like BB stocks, massive printing.

It started in the mid 80s, I have 569 sets of 1986 Topps Traded Sets(132 players in the set). The set contains the rookie cards of Canseco, Bonds, Bonilla, Joyner, Clark, Bo Jackson to name a few. Three or four of them could be sold for more than the set. Crazy right? I'm betting that people break up the sets so that someday the sets will be rarer. But not now. Perhaps they will be worth something to my kids grand children.. Right now, I'm down big with them.

Maris should be in the Hall of Fame. And so should Rose and Shoeless Joe.. Anyone that believes Charlie Hustle would ever have bet against his own team doesn't know baseball; if he bet on his team, the argument is immediately moot.

Besides, I can think of no more disgraceful human being that ever played the game than Ty Cobb...and he went in with flying colors.
