Thabks for the help. It sounds like the PII is the way to go if she's going to keep the machine for 3 years or so and you don't want to have to upgrade it. The price difference isn't that great. I believe she's going to go with the PII at 300 or 400. In a month or so, the price difference between these two speeds won't be but $100.

They don't need to. Look closely you would see the Celeron-A is
a replacement for .35 micron PII(Klamath) but cheaper. The only overlap I see is the 333Mhz parts. I thought Intel called this segmentation ?
