Hah!! I guess that means that our computers are now so called "extensions of our penis," or "phallic symbols." Kinda like, ".. my CPU is faster than yours."

I like that commercial where the two ladies are seeing guys getting out of all their expensive cars. When one guy gets out of a real spiffy vette, porsche, or something similar, one says to the other, " I bet his is small."

Back in the 60's guys were into pushing the limits
of their muscle cars. Today we want muscle computers.
There is just something about being a guy and tinker'n.

It really is exhilarating, and I now understand the joy people get by seeing something they have put together function as it should.

Nice thoughts, guys.
ZP, maybe you can put some of these thoughts on the front
page of the auxiliary. Anyone have other thougths to add?

S.W.

Wish I had as much free time as yall do . my latest home built has been driving me nuts. Found that I have 1 BAD CPU probably from overheating when my fans failed and the LM78 wasn't setup. Still think I have a bad ram module and have been swapping parts. No Blue screens in almost two weeks. I will be thrilled when I get this fixed...

Thanks for the suggestion. I do plan on getting back into that project. I will at least gather the multimonitor posts and spiff up the entry page with your suggestion.

I have finished the oak staircase and am now building a fireplace wall/enclosure. The wife has been waiting for the upgrades. I have not seen much outside the office since I started this SI experience two years ago. Watch for a surge in Home Depot stock as they tally my receipts.
