Joey 2Cents:

Tomorrow should be very interesting indeed. Japan down over 400 points as I write.

Joey, this thread has been very quiet over the weekend. Usually a bearish sign.

Hello JTC:
I think the US market will take a cue tomorrow for a down spin. Unless Europe is very strongly up, my gut instinct is a selloff in the US equities. I've put a couple block trades in to test ZITL market maker backbone -- so far, no takers. Monday expectations, NSCP 26, AMZN below 120, ZITL down 1/4 to 1/2 (but it should have been trading sub-3 by now except for the MM masking during low volume), CTXS down 2, DELL down 5, CNWK down 2-3 etc. I will be most interested for the fundamentally lame stocks whose trading volume has dried up, how volumes are in a reasonable selloff. Monday will be a test of nerves. With China's market fallen to less than half in the last year and hostilities toward their neighbors and the world, a devaluation near term would fit the ticket for havoc in the neighborhood markets. Russia's Moscow index is less than a tenth of what it was 6 months ago -- be interesting to know if Soros is buying heavily anything there now.... Thank you for posting. Thought I would express my expectations for tomorrow, and hoping I am generally not too disappointed.
Best regards,
m
