I see you've been left in the dark for a LONG time. These docking machines have been available for years.

DWW II,
I think you were looking at a docking station. I have had one at work for two years. I don't see them in retail stores. So unless you see them in a business climate they are easy to miss. I would think a home computing environment might not have a great need for them. My laptop connects with the LAN system when docked.
