Emory - I don't quite know what to say about SI's $200 fee. do you really believe that it is keeping high quality discussion away?

I'm curious to know if you have a good stock selection program that you're happy with - obviously one that has worked well enough to give you the incentive to hold onto your stocks in the face of very negative developments - Would you mind sharing your ideas on stock selection?

I don't know how good a trader I am - I'm doing OK - I'm in cash and am short now too (Ursa). I am doing this because I have had to fire two money managers because of inexcusable errors in judgement - the last being responsible for trading Rydex funds - and, because that's where most of my, and my family's, money is now, I am forced to deal with the overall market. Also, I have 401(k) funds that benefit from good market timing decisions. The good thing is that with Rydex, money can be made no matter which way the overall market goes.

Just doing the best I can and will value any bits of wisdom you have.
