Interesting role models you guys have...

And proud of him, I might add:

1. The product McGwire uses is a legal, over the counter substance.

2.. It is not banned by Major League Baseball.

3. If it truly was a performance enhancer, then the FDA would have banned it long ago.

4. Compared to some of the other role models baseball and other sports have, the man is indeed a role model (see Albert Belle, Roberto Alomar, Ken Griffey(yea Jr, the arrogant one who has to stand in awe and watch his home runs), Gooden/Strawberry and the rest of the nose candy crowd), the blatantly racist and simply mean Ty Cobb, virtually all hockey players, the NBA with an average of more than one illegitimate child per player)

5. The substance that he takes certainly isn't what is doing the hours of Batting Practice and the weight room every day.

6. His AB/HR ratio of this year, while his best, is not significantly different from his 1995-96 ratio, prior to taking the substance. Only his freedom from injury is different this year.

Perhaps we need some of this "performance-enhancing substance "
down the friggin well....Perhaps we ought to "guess the day" the
well will be open, instead of keeping track of stocks and home runs!
