Check the TLAB thread. Birck spoke to a newspaper and indicated that the odds favored renegotiation of price terms with CIEN.

Eric,

CIEN will writhe for quite a while before meeting with its destiny.

It could still be bought out, either by TLAB or another party, but CSCO is an unlikely suitor.

PS: I am neither long nor short on CIEN, my comments stemmed from my general interest in the telco industry. Currently own ATI and LU--all bought way back and significant positions.
