The more time I have been with my current PII300, the
more I feel the need for faster PII. I found that adding
more memory just won't do me any good, the display is
definitely not the bottleneck and the only thing I can
gain is to switch to a faster CPU(well mostly another
MB + PII combination).

For the effect of Celeron-A, I would look for bargain
hunting of the fire sales cacheless model. If the prediction
is correct, $400 - $600 as a system for the kids is
a good deal and these are 'upgradable' to faster 333/366
Celeron-A in the next 12 - 18 months which looks to me
a better alternative for K6-2 based option.
