I'll echo the previous three posts. eBay has sown up the online auction market for comic book, records, rare and not-so-rare books, and other collectibles.

right now there are over 11,000 active beanie baby auctions alone, with 80,000 BB auctions completed within the last month.

eBay not only creates a marketplace and supplies a global buying community, it solves many problems for individuals wanting to buy and sell w/ ease and confidence on the net.

Yes, when people discover eBay, they get hooked.

I read recently that eBay is one of the most "sticky" sites on the web. By "sticky", they mean that people stay there a long time when they get there.

This bodes well for eBay's potential to pull in significant advertising dollars.
