Interesting that this a.m. the news announced that Newt would want Clinton impeached only if he is found to have committed several felonies and not just for this affair. I think maybe the Republicans are a little more shrewd than I originally gave them credit.

the females. Didn't agree with them when they helped elect Pres. Clinton, but this time it makes sense.

I don't understand. What makes sense? Are you saying you have a better opinion of Clinton now than when he last ran for election?

Btw, what exactly is it that you like about Clinton? His hard-line pro-choice stance on abortion? Generally that's why socially liberal women will support him, no matter *what*. "Good for the country" etc, is usually verbiage to mean he supports something they feel very passionate about.

Pardon me for guessing about your reasons, but at this moment in time I don't see how anyone could possibly be saying supportive things about a man who has repeatedly demonstrated a distinct lack of conscience. Former WH press secretary Dee Dee Myers wrote in a column recently (available online) that she thought his affair was "unbelievably reckless" in the first place, and the fact that Clinton pursued the affair for 18 months "seemed almost pathological". Dee Dee didn't even bother to try to express in words what she thought of Clinton's repeated and brazen denials for seven long months.
