Due to recent activity in the market, Bernie Schaeffer, Chairman of
Schaeffer's Investment Research, has again been asked to appear on
national T.V.

I thought you would enjoy the opportunity to see and hear his
commentary Live and In Person. Bernie will be in New York on Wednesday
and Thursday appearing on three television programs.

TUNE IN OR SET YOUR VCR'S

Wednesday, August 26
10:30 am EST. CNBC--Bernie will be interviewed on "Taking Stock"
concerning his top stock picks and his market outlook. He is currently
scheduled for an
interview at approximately 10:40 am.

Thursday, August 27:
9:25 am EST. Bloomberg Television-Bernie will give some appealing stock
picks as well as his market outlook.

4:00 pm EST. CNNfn-Bernie will be interviewed on "Street Sweep". He
will be speaking about current market conditions and his outlook for
the future.

Don't forget Bernie's monthly option column in Bloomberg Personal
Finance magazine. The current (September) column offers an overview of
some contrarian indicators to forecast option price movement. The
column in the October issue will discuss the benefits of put selling.
The October issue
should be on the newsstands in a couple of weeks.

We have also recently made a major addition to our main website
(http://www.optionsource.com). We've added our new "Capital Growth"
section. This section deals with systems and strategies which produce
more consistent wins than typical aggressive option speculation. For
example, one of the
featured services is Wealthbuilder, which enjoys an approximate 90% win
ratio
and approximate 411% cumulative returns since 1993.

On September 14 Price Headley, Chief Investment Strategist for
Schaeffer's Investment Research, will be presenting an on-
line seminar titled "Options: Leverage the Power of
Acceleration". The visual part of the seminar will be
presented over the web while audio will be done
concurrently over the telephone. The seminar will last for
approximately an hour. It will consist of approximately 45
minutes of the actual seminar with 15 minutes to address
specific questions. For more details on the seminar, please
see the following web address:

If you have any questions about Bernie, Price, our company, or our
website
please feel free to contact us.

Bears can let out an awfully loud roar.......

But I see now that Bulls can muster quite the snort as well...
Being from the city, I did not know this before!

Thank you Ike for your summary and the welcome.
I hope through time that much of what you write can be absorbed by the pre"HAL" processor on my shoulders.

As you note, rewards rarely go to those calling specific direction, and when they do, the title of genius versus good fortune may simply be the same as the difference between lunacy and eccentric.

After reading much of what you have written over time, and especially lately, I wonder... are you a bull... or a market opportunist?
As such, I wonder if we are that much different, or simply playing the same game from both ends...?

Iqbal, I have many questions to pose, regarding the turmoil unfolding around us, but for now, having exposed myself as a bear, and a severe bear no less, your reply is making me run and hang my head in shame.

In parting for now, do you have any comments on the works of economist Dr. Ravi Batra ?

Respectfully,
SP
