Thread--especially newbies... I've found that
sometimes it is good to re-read old posts:

Note PeterSuzman's bounce picks from last
summer (see the post #44 to which this message
is linked)

Here is the performance of those stocks...
quote.yahoo.com

Sepracor, Millennium, Pathogenesis, Agouron,
and recently Nexstar have done the best...the
rest merely doubled (or at least were tradable
for doubles.)

Lately I've been thinking that I would do well to
lighten up in my third tier microcaps--or at least
when I do put more money in these stocks, maybe go
for second tier, with an emphasis on some of the
stocks these fellas like.

Up til now I've tried to slog through many lists of
biotech stocks...and while I've certainly cultivated
a new hobby, I actually have much less confidance
that I can picks stocks now than ever in the past
year. Probably I'll do fine with my micros...at book
value there is probably not a lot of downside for
things like CytoTheraputics and Cambridge NeuroScience,
but I suppose these stocks are not likely to see any
sponsorship either--at least not from professional
money managers. I'll probably have to hold critters
like ctii and cnsi until news pops them up, a parter
for ctii would be nice, the IND filings from cnsi should
help. I hope someday I will be able to extricate myself
from these positions with no harm done.

Anyway, getting back to the idea of moving up to second
tier. I already presented AXPH on another thread, and
thanks again Peter for your feedback. The second one on
this list is well known, so naturally I bought Curagen
instead. OSI looks particularly interesting of late.

AXPH GLGC ONXX OSIP ISIP PCOP

By the way, the means by which I arrived at this
list are completly lame...occasionally I pile together
all my notes, the symbols with the most notes get put
on watch lists. Since I never take anything off my
lists, I am fast approaching the point at which I
will be 'watching' everything. I will then give up
and buy a fund:-)
