A 10% stock dividend that increases the shares outstanding accordingly. A wash.

Looked at another way you are apparently excited about a dividend that you are funding to yourself. Watching grass grow must be another highlight in your day.

Jhild is correct. You must not understand how a dividend works. If you receive a cash divi of 10% the stock will go down by an equal amount. If the divi is in the form of a split the same will apply and dilution will occur. Either way the word "given" does not apply.
