But, @ 10:15am on 8/21/98, 45 minutes before the start of both Shareholder Meetings at both Tellabs and Ciena, AT&T called and said they do not plan to deploy Ciena's 40 or 96 channel systems. Wow. What impeccable timing!

Caught in the cross-hairs of an extremely powerful weapon. Who will ever forget. . .
