Unfortunately, I never trust customer hotline as experience
tells me that most of them don't know what they are talking
about. But iMac isn't here yet which means I cannot check
it myself.

May be the sales rep you met don't know what he is
talking about. It seems that everyone on usenet
is puzzling about the SCSI issue and how to do
backup etc.

My guess is that there is a connector on the case but
you may need to buy a SCSI controller to make use
of that.
