I heard one market pundit recently who stated that the average NASDAQ stock was down 35% off of their 52 week highs......if I look at the Russell 2000, I believe it. But in my view, for the individual investor, this just makes for huge opportunities. It's a great advantage not to have to perform each quarter. One can therefore avoid/take advantage of the panic selling which always happens in Sept. and Oct., since all funds have to take losses before Oct. 31 for tax purposes for the given year.
