Thanks all again for the continuing PC education. The funny thing is the more I look around, the more money I will likely have to spend to get what I think I need. Will have to wait till Sept 15 after I pay up my due to Uncle Sam for the gain the past quarter, unless the whole market tanks at least 10% and my puts can pick up the bill and the new computer altogether.

To all who came out to defend me today over at the SD thread, a big thank you. You rational gals and guys are welcome to post over here, although we don't just dwell on the drillers but almost everything under the blue sky. But we are well behaved and have found the trick to keep strayed animals away so far.

While I think the market is locked in a boring grind mode currently, there are selected special situation plays that can offer short term opportunities.

KRB - it closed lower today (below $30) together with the financial sector in general. This is the first close below $30 and a possible technical breakdown. We shall get confirmation soon. If it opens and drifts below $29 quickly tomorrow, then we know the short term trend will be likely down. How far down I don't know but $30 will become a short term resistence. However, I think another decisive close tomorrow below $30 tomorrow is necessary to firmly establish the short term downtrend. Need to also watch AFS which tracks each other pretty well.

SEV - there will be an announcement in 10-14 days with the announcement of the flowtest result of #4e well. So far $15 has proven to be a tough short term resistence to crack and if it drifts lower from here in the next few days then a spike up towards $15 may be it when the news hits. A retracement back to $11-12 is expected after that since the next news (#3E) will be almost a month out. I will be a buyer if the stock weakens to $12 in the next few days for this 10-15% play. If it does not surpass $15 after the news, a short will be good for another 10-15% play.

MU - its internut character again shows. It is really hard to call the price movement on this one. I lost my Aug 27 1/2 put last Friday so I am now completely clean on MU. Will watch but do nothing here.
