According to Twiford a tiny quantity of inquart is introduced into the first batch going through the leach process, say 100 pounds. Subsequent introductions of 100 pound batches are made without any further inquart added. The quantity of inquarted metal in the pipeline is probably not signifcant in dollar value. This use of inquarting is standard procedure in precious metal recovery.
