Peter, right-on Fleck! Great points (and under my interpretation of "Just War" theory - Niles is a free-fire zone), but his point about the talking heads just reading the headlines is something that's had me wondering for a long time.

Exactly how did the call get from Robbie Stephens to outlets like Bloomberg and CNBC, but more importantly in what form did it arrive?
Is it that CNBC refuses to report the full story or that they never get it?

And while we're on the subject of CNBC...

...If you examine Maria B.'s reporting in the a.m. today, you'll notice that she pulled the old "context for the bear; no-context for the bull". Barton Biggs had his call reported by her; yet she took the extra effort to mention words to the effect that "he's been bearish for a while now". And yet, she reports the Niles upgrade to Strong Buy without that context. Why? What is the point of doing that?

I'd argue the context is even more relevant to the Niles call when you consider that when he raised it the 1st time up to L-T Attractive back in March the stock was below where he upped it today (I think the upgrade to Buy came around 26 3/8).

Good trading,

Tom
