"The volatility will continue for the rest of the year on AAPL. AAPL has probably been identified as a hot stock by day traders who trade AAPL using Internet; "

Quite true. The ride over the course of last few sessions has been wild- ideal condition to make a killing for those who have the stomach to day trade. Judging from people's comments here and over at Kurt's aapltalk.com that's exactly what many people have been doing.

I took advantage of Friday's dip to load up on shares and got a daily double on Sep 42.5s for a friend, but my own option order sat on the bid for about an hour but didn't get executed before the rally.

I liquidated deep in the money Jan 30 and 35s early last week and added more Sept calls today to the Oct ones that I already have. People usually "roll" their call options further out into the future, I think I'm rolling it the wrong way. ;-)
