And, I believe, that the coming Euro debt will decrease demand for out US Government debt instruments. In spite of the "balanced budget" the US government must borrow large amounts just to exist. Now, they will not be able to decrease rates, they will have to increase rates just to drive sufficient borrowing - inflation from a far higher base!
The only way they will be able to prevent the coming recession will be run the presses- or that is how I read it.
